Terms & Conditions

For the purposes of these Terms & Conditions, a “Team Manager” is defined as the individual who registers a team in the league and acts as the primary point of contact for that team. The Team Manager represents all players on the roster and is responsible for all administrative, financial, and communication obligations related to the team.

 

1. Team Registration Responsibility

By registering a team with Hockey City Hamilton Inc., the Team Manager agrees to:

  • Ensure that all players on the team are properly registered in accordance with league requirements.
  • Act as the sole liaison between the league and the team.

The Team Manager is fully responsible for the conduct and compliance of all players associated with their team.

 

2. Fees and Payment Obligations

  • The Team Manager is solely responsible for collecting all team-related fees from players.
  • The Team Manager must remit full payment of all team fees to Hockey City Hamilton Inc. by the specified deadlines.
  • Individual player insurance fees, are the responsibility of each individual player.

Failure to submit payment in full may result in suspension or removal of the team from league play.

 

3. Collection of Unpaid Fees

In the event that team fees remain unpaid and Hockey City Hamilton Inc. is required to engage legal representation or a collections process to recover outstanding balances:

  • The Team Manager agrees to be fully responsible for all associated legal, administrative, and collection costs incurred.

 

4. Injury Liability and Assumption of Risk

Participation in recreational sports involves inherent risks, including but not limited to physical injury, illness, or property damage.

By registering a team:

  • The Team Manager acknowledges and accepts these risks on behalf of themselves and their players.
  • Hockey City Hamilton Inc., its owners, staff, contractors, and affiliates shall not be held liable for any injuries, damages, or losses sustained by any player, participant, or spectator.

Participation is voluntary, and all participants assume full responsibility for their involvement.

 

5. Discipline and Suspensions

Hockey City Hamilton Inc. maintains the right to enforce discipline to ensure a safe and respectful environment.

  • Players or teams may be subject to disciplinary action, including suspensions or removal from the league, for misconduct, rule violations, or unsportsmanlike behavior.
  • Suspensions issued to players may extend to team-level consequences where appropriate.
  • No refunds will be issued for games missed due to suspensions or disciplinary actions.

All disciplinary decisions made by Hockey City Hamilton Inc. are final.

 

6. League Rules

All teams and players must adhere to the official league rules, policies, and guidelines.

  • League rules will be published and maintained on a separate webpage.
  • These rules may include, but are not limited to, gameplay regulations, eligibility requirements, safety protocols, and code of conduct.
  • It is the responsibility of the Team Manager and all players to review and comply with these rules.

 

7. Amendments to Terms & Conditions

Hockey City Hamilton Inc. reserves the right to update, modify, or amend these Terms & Conditions at any time at its sole discretion.

  • Updated Terms & Conditions will be made available through official league communication channels or the league website.
  • Continued participation in the league following any updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms & Conditions.

 

8. Agreement and Acceptance

By registering a team, the Team Manager confirms that they:

  • Have read, understood, and agree to these Terms & Conditions.
  • Accept responsibility on behalf of all team members.
  • Agree to ensure all players comply with league policies and requirements.
